Kill the Turkey Lyrics | May 28th 2006

Kill the turkey, shoot him down,
Pluck his feathers, Make him growl,
Make burgers, kill the cow,
Slit his throat, let him bleed,
Make steaks, make burgers,
Good to eat,

Kill the beast, took our daughter,
I’ll break off,
But if you want it bad enough,
Oh if you want it bad enough,

Keep your eyes on the prize,
Keep your eyes on the prize,
Keep your eyes on the prize,
Keep your eyes on the prize,

Kiss the clever, one who said,
You made your bed,
now lie in it, Die in it,
Kiss the shit, that hit the fence,
When you went and killed,
Another man,

But if you want it bad enough,
If you want it bad enough,

Keep your eyes on the prize,
Keep your eyes on the prize
Keep your eyes on the prize
Keep your eyes on the prize

  16. I don’t think this song is about vegetarianism at all, I believe it is about being motivated to the point where you believe the only way you can achieve what you want is by doing wrong, and consequently realizing you must take responsibility for your actions.

    It’s absolutely lovely.

  17. tabs for this song ??
    please

  18. sounds to me the song is more about someone who’s more than motivated to the point of zealotry.

perhaps it’s about someone who became so narrow-sighted and intent on reaching their goal, that it wasn’t important who got hurt in the process—whether it be physical or emotional is of course irrelevant.

    my two cents.

song’s like a beautiful Belique china dish hidden, slathered underneath rotten eggs.

  25. I feel like the song is referring to someone who’s being abusive to someone else. Perhaps the “Kill the turkey, shoot him down/Pluck his feathers, make him growl” is all referring to someone hurting another in an abusive relationship. I also feel like the whole song is from the side of the abuser rather than the person being abused. It also could be trying to portray animal cruelty but obviously only Meredith would really know.

anyways, the song is very interesting and beautiful.
